Extrema Ratio RAO folding survival knife. Improved version of the original RAO. The RAO AVIO is a folding knife, but thanks to its non-standard construction and the safety pin that locks the blade open, it can be considered, used and carried as a fixed blade. Total length of the open knife 26.4m. Length of the closed knife 14.4cm. 12cm tanto blade made of Cobalt N690 stainless steel with Testudo matte black anti-reflective finish. The ultimate locking device is a steel pin that can be screwed in by hand, locking the blade in the open or closed position. This manual system is in addition to the structural safety of the backlock knife. Handle plates made of anticorodal aluminum alloy, matte black anodized. Lanyard hole with pin retaining strap. OD Green ballistic nylon sheath for belt, MOLLE compatible. Survival kit contains: whistle, compass, paracord, flint and firing pin, water purification tablets, wire, wire saw and diamond field sharpener. The kit is stored in a compatible OD Green MOLLE holster. The kit can be carried separately, attached to the RAO AVIO knife sheath or any MOLLE attachment. The closed kit measures approximately 14cm x 8cm x 5cm. The knife can be purchased without the kit.
